MEMBERSHIP:

• ​Eligibility: Any reputable person or company in good standing who is interested in bridging the Russian and American communities to stimulate economic growth and enhance quality of life in South Florida is eligible to apply for membership.

• Election to Membership:

• Membership is voluntary.  Therefore, members are not required to meet attendance or participation requirements.  Members may participate at will with the understanding that the more significant their involvement the more return on investment they will receive.

• Prospective members must fill out application for membership.  Following review of application, if applicant is approved for membership, they will receive an email of said approval with instructions for submitting annual dues.

• Upon receipt of annual dues, applicant will become an active member with all the benefits of their elected membership level and will be posted to the website directory.

• Membership Dues: Dues are paid in advance for the membership term of one year and are non-refundable.

• Membership Levels: Members may choose to change their membership level during the term of membership by contacting the Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida and paying the difference in dues between membership levels.

• Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida and its owners are not liable in the event that Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida should cease operations due to insolvency or other emergency situation.

• ​RAC reserves the right to deny membership, or cancel membership, if the Board of Directors, upon two-thirds votes, determines in its sole discretion that a member poses a challenge to RAC achieving its mission, or is believed to be incompatible with the values of the RAC.

​PROHIBITED AT RUSSIAN-SPEAKING AMERICAN CHAMBER OF SOUTH FLORIDA EVENTS (“RAC”) EVENTS:

• Filming of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida events by any third party is strictly prohibited without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida.

• Promotion of any event or ticket sales of any kind, other than a RAC event, is strictly prohibited at any RAC event without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida.

• Soliciting members and guests at any RAC event for sponsorships of any kind is strictly prohibited at any RAC event without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida.

• No raffles or collection of contact information for raffles or subscriptions is permitted at any RAC event without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida.
   

INSTRUCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS FOR RUSSIAN-SPEAKING AMERICAN CHAMBER OF SOUTH FLORIDA (“RAC”) EMAIL BLAST DISTRIBUTION AND SOCIAL MEDIA:

• Email blasts must conform with specifications detailed on the E-Blast Submission Page

• No materials determined by the Board of Directors to be possibly offensive to others in any nature will be distributed

• Members may not utilize the email blast more than once per month without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida unless they are Sponsors of RAC.

• Email blasts by members of RAC may be utilized for the following purposes:
  -Sending out company promotions (such as the type of services or products the company provides)
  -Sending out announcement of a special event (such as a grand opening of a business or a special sales event)

• Solicitation for sponsorships or partnerships of any kind other than for the Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida is strictly prohibited and will not be distributed through any RAC sources without the express permission and approval of Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida.

• Limit to 2 hyperlinks for the member sending email blast.​

• ​Member email blasts will not be distributed on religious holidays

• No distribution of competing events. If another member already has an event distributed through RAC for a specific date, no additional blasts for events on conflicting dates can be published unless it is a RAC Business Mixer 

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

• ​Any member may resign from membership by providing written resignation to the Board of Directors.

• Any member may be terminated from membership for conduct unbecoming by a two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors.

• For member renewals, if annual dues are not paid within 30 days from the date of  renewal, membership will be terminated and may be reinstated upon receipt of renewal dues.
   

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

• Each member of the board of directors will be given responsibilities to meet.

• Directors are expected to attend all board member meetings.

• Unexcused absences of a Director:  5 meetings in a 12 month period shall be construed to serve as an automatic resignation from the Board.

• Board Member Meetings will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

• ​Special Meetings or Emergency Meetings for board members may be scheduled upon proper noticed to all board members.

• Board of Director Term:

          a.  There is no specified term for serving on the board.
          b.  If board members wish to resign from their board responsibilities they must give 30 day notice to remaining board members.
          c.  Board member may be terminated from the board of directors for unexcused absences as stated above, not meeting responsibility requirements or conduct unbecoming a board member. Termination of a board member must be a two-thirds vote of the board.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND/OR VIDEOTAPING IN PROGRESS:

By entering the event and premises, you understand that you may be photographed, filmed, or videotaped and you hereby give Russian-Speaking American Chamber of South Florida (“RAC”) the unqualified right to take pictures and/or recordings of you and grant the perpetual right to use your likeness or image without compensation, for broadcast or exhibition in any medium, for any lawful use without limitation. You hereby waive and release RAC from any liability arising out of or resulting from any use of your likeness or image, which RAC may, in its sole discretion, use or not use.
